Beginners Strategy for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the wild west in a great game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about other, more experienced individuals taking their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the generally leisurely game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and scheme while not having to make quick decisions.

It is also easier to play for a long time with just a little bit of money seeing as, to lose, both of your hands must be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a two card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
