Web Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only participant to make it to the last table in 3 of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. He won a massive pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest players around the world. While wagering on online poker, another side of Hansen has emerged. He regularly competes in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus generally buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits patiently for a good hand and then goes all in. I believe Gus is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400NL. Unless Gus is penniless, he has absolutely no reason to settle at the table with the min buy in.

Playing for the min takes most of the ability out of big stack poker. Gus is supposed to be 1 of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The greatest players anywhere in the world may be players you have will not have heard of. Gus can be found competing in online poker on Full Tilt. He normally competes in big stakes Omaha and Holdem. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he use his abilities in money rounds?
