Novice Tactics for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the western in an excellent game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, unlike the majority of other poker games that players wager with other players. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not have to be concerned about other, more skillful gamblers winning their mulla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty decisions.

It’s also much simpler to enjoy for an extended time with only a small amount of money after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the croupier is dealt seven cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
